Upcycling and the trees remain standing
In contrast to recycling, upcycling means that new and higher-quality items are made from materials that are no longer suitable for their original use. This protects the environment, reduces waste and, in the case of our WITTEKIND furniture, it also means that not a single tree had to die just for our sofas, armchairs and tables.
The wooden planks that we use for our outdoor furniture have been in outdoor use for years. The traces of this are still visible. We preserve them and turn our furniture into storytellers. So take a seat, listen to the stories, tell your own or take some time to read a good book.
You can also leave the Lounge table (long) outside over winter. As the spruce wood is already weathered, wind and weather do not affect it much. We have also treated the wood gently with a wax oil, which provides additional protection. Nevertheless, the weathering process will also slowly progress on the furniture, but this will not detract from its charm and high-quality look.

This special wood is also treated with a water blocker on the open cut edges. Its natural patina is emphasized by a wax oil.
