Lounge Sun lounger for a place in the sun with adjustable backrest
Whether after a dip in the pool, during a lunch break on the balcony or simply free-standing in the garden: the Lounge sun lounger from WITTEKIND brings the vacation home. The highlight of this new development from WITTEKIND is definitely the multi-adjustable backrest. In addition to the starting position, you can raise the backrest in three fixed positions. In other words, three positions to lock into place and one position when the backrest is fully folded down.
In the folded-down version, the backrest is not horizontal, but is approximately 45 cm from the floor. The distance of the backrest from the floor in the highest position is 77 cm. You can see the different options in the photos.
We now only build the sun loungers (single and double lounger) with 2 fixed castors at the foot end and a handle rope (short for single lounger, long for double lounger) at the head end. This allows the sun lounger to be easily aligned with the sun.

The weathered spruce wood of the garden lounger is designed for year-round outdoor use. We enhance the natural patina by treating it with a wax oil afterwards. We also seal the visible front edges with a water blocker based on nano technology. For the cold season, we recommend a suitable cover to prevent the natural ageing process.

More protection with the right cover
While you prefer to store the cushions in a dry place during heavy rainfall and the cold season, the Lounge sun lounger can remain outside and does not need to be mothballed. The weathered spruce wood is ideally suited to the cold season and the Lounge sun lounger can be staged even then. If you would like to provide additional protection for your Lounge sun lounger, we recommend the matching cover. An individual fit is available for every WITTEKIND piece of furniture.
High-quality upholstery for more seating comfort
The high-quality outdoor upholstery is extremely comfortable and adapts to the ergonomic shape of the lounger. The Sunbrella fabrics of the upholstery cover are UV-resistant and water-repellent, but are not completely waterproof due to the seams. They can withstand a shower and dry quickly afterwards. In the cold season, however, you should bring the cushions into the dry.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions and answers about the Lounge sun lounger
When developing the Lounge sun lounger, our team tried out several variants and ultimately decided to offer the cushion with a width of 60 centimetres. The lounger itself measures 80 centimeters. This creates an edge of around 10 centimetres on each side, which allows a view of the rustic wood, making it look super chic and also providing a practical storage area for a drink, a book or sunglasses.
For the upholstery, we opted for a three-part version that adapts perfectly to the shape of the sun lounger and is sewn at the transition points. The cushion is loose and can be removed and stowed away at any time. The high-quality Sunbrella fabrics used for the cushions are also used in yacht building and are extremely weatherproof, UV-resistant and lightfast. This means that the cushions can remain outside in summer and dry quickly even after a shower. Nevertheless, you should bring them into the dry during longer periods of wetness, as the seams cannot be sealed watertight. Another highlight is the adjustable headrest, which allows you to find the ideal reading position at all times.
The upholstery cover and the cover of the headrest have zippers so that they can be removed and machine washed at 30 degrees if they become very dirty.
The wooden sun lounger is 190 cm long and 80 cm wide. At the lowest backrest setting, the lounger is 45 cm high; if you set the backrest to the highest position, it is 77 cm high. It is 20 cm high at the transition between the backrest and the seat or reclining surface, and 26 cm high at the knee. The shape of the backrest is adapted to the natural body posture so that you can spend many comfortable hours on your patio or in your garden.
The wooden sun lounger from WITTEKIND has a fixed height, but the backrest can be adjusted in four stages, which presumably corresponds to your desired function. In the basic level, there is only a slight inclination. However, you can also raise the backrest further and make it steeper in three further stages. This gives you various options for dozing or sleeping, dreaming, reading, relaxing, enjoying, storytelling and much more.
